Join Main Line Art Center on Thursday, June 11 from 5:30–7:30 PM for the unveiling of a new public mural by Jim Houser created in celebration of America’s semiquincentennial. Honoring past and present Pennsylvania artists who have helped shape the region into one of the country’s most vibrant cultural hubs, the mural reflects the creative spirit and artistic legacy of our community. The outdoor evening will include the official mural unveiling, a short talk by Jim Houser, and light snacks and drinks as we celebrate this exciting addition to the Art Center building.
Jim Houser is a self-taught artist, musician and designer and an original member of the Space1026 art collective. Houserʼs collages, paintings and installations have been exhibited extensively in institutions such as the Laguna Art Museum and the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art as well as galleries in Milan, Paris, Sydney and São Paulo. You might have seen one of his murals around Philly or in Ardmore!
