During our 3-hour session, memories are jogged on one topic of Life and participants create a list of key stories. We write write first drafts and go over important aspects of the craft of writing. Each student has the opportunity to read and receive positive feedback. You leave with the strong beginnings of your book of memoir essays.  
This workshop benefits writers at any level of skill & experience. Beginners are welcome. All ages welcome.
Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead, Nov 1 or 2), is one of Latin America’s most unique traditional celebrations in which people remember and honor the memory of ancestors, family members and friends by decorating altars with “banderitas de papel picado” (little paper banners or flags).  In this hands-on workshop, participants learn the techniques for folding and cutting tissue paper and make these special flags. Common themes include birds, floral designs, and skeletons.
Student Supply List: 
$20 supply fee payable to instructor
Exacto knives #11 blade, self healing cutting mat no larger than 9 x 12,  pencil,  tissue paper at least 8 x 11 in beautiful colors,  scissors,  heavy string.
Special Topics Varying from one day workshops to multi-week classes, Special Topics are offered once or twice throughout the year and are perfect for learning a new technique, working with a new material, or exploring a specific process. Minimum enrollment needed to run these programs, so please register promptly.
